Born on December 25th, 1948, and named for the holiday she was born on, Merry Clayton relocated to Los Angeles and was encouraged by members of The Blossoms to pursue her music career. This resulted in Merry lending her backup vocals to some of the biggest names in music, Merry Clayton cemented her legacy as an all-time great vocalist.
