Xavial Dedmon | Psychological Normalization Specialist, Aileron Dynamics

Aileron Dynamics Xavial Dedmon (Age 39) got his start at Aileron Dynamics by way of walking into the largest building on his planet's largest city, convincing a seasoned hiring manager to hire him as an intern on sight, then spending the next 15 years working his way up to becoming the CEO's most trusted confidant.

Dedmon is currently on payroll as the Psychological Normalization Specialist. His position maintains crew morale through managing entertainment and enjoyment activities. Xavial also doubles as Project/Expedition Lead when Aileron requires a large group of employees to complete a mission off-world. Secretly, Dedmon maintains a shadow profession known only to a privileged few at Aileron. He is Personal Affairs Liaison to the Aileron Dynamics CEO, Armitage Bek. On paper, he is not at the top of the A.D. payroll, but his bank account belies this fact.

While being tasked with monitoring large numbers of A.D. employees for their moods, tendencies, and overall feelings towards the company—thus his elevation to P.N.S.—Dedmon is expected to protect what is most important to Aileron Dynamics, more specifically, what is most important to the CEO.

Xavial is a quiet observer with the ability to quickly turn on the charm and often goad fellow employees out of foul moods and lackluster performances. He takes his job very seriously and in many ways actually enjoys his work with colleagues. However, make no mistake. When push comes to shove Xavial Deadmon is very clear on where his allegiances lie even if he doesn't necessarily make that clear to those around him.

Background Info: Xavial Dedmon originates from Pili (PEE-lee)—a moon orbiting the gas giant Khidoh in the Shedir system with a tropical climate small, but numerous land masses surrounded by vast, warm seas. The inhabitants of Pili are an extremely technologically skilled people who, over centuries, figured out and came to terms with the idea that technology could make their relaxed beach-going lives incredibly easy. The only thing the people love more than new technological innovation is sailing the seas of their homeworld. Pilians are master shipbuilders and sailors. The Pilian Shipwright Doyen has become well-known throughout the nearby star systems and has a fantastically technical and efficient method for designing, building, deconstructing, transporting, & subsequently selling sea- and space-faring vessels to many of their interstellar neighbors. The boom in ship sales allowed the planetary wealth of Pili to skyrocket thereby making all of its citizens incredibly wealthy and non-dependent on a traditional work/pay way of life. All citizens are scheduled to work for 2 weeks of every other month assisting the planet in meeting its ship building requirements. As long as a citizen’s (tracked) work requirement is met, any goods and services required are provided at no cost. If a citizen desires to travel or vacation off- world, the Pilian Council provides all work-confirmed citizens with a generous stipend of credits to spend while they are away. Oddly enough, expats who have left the lavish, laid back life of Pili have been known to be extremely money oriented as they have come to believe that the only way they can replicate their lavish, spoiled former life is to hoard cash from everyone and everything around them.

Xavial Dedmon hasn’t been home in some time.
