Armitage Bek (Age 63) runs Aileron Dynamics with a silent fist. Never caught losing his temper or even raising his voice, when Beck speaks, things happen—and fast.
Armitage took over as CEO of A.D. 28 years ago (3220 IC Calendar Year). There are few details outside of the unanimous vote that put him in charge and none of the fifteen board members that served at the time are still active. Even more suspicious is the fact that none of them can be located to provide first-hand accounts. Nevertheless, Aileron has never been more profitable and, as such, there are few willing to question Bek’s means or ends. He is often overheard telling his close associates, “If the pockets are full, the mouths are closed.”
His status atop Aileron Dynamics and The Interstellar Cohort are proof positive.
Personal Background
There isn’t much to be found on Armitage Bek’s history as he has managed to somehow keep most of it out of the galaxy’s shared archive. He is officially listed as a native of Brahmanda (Lyra System). However, no official record of any school transcripts, family registers, medical records, or birth certificates have been found there. The first time Bek appears in any public record is his hiring as a client liaison for Aileron Dynamics 35 years ago. The second time he is found in public records is for his purchase of a large mansion on the outskirts of the largest city-state on-world, approximately six months after his promotion to CFO, five years after his initial hire.
Bek is the living definition of keeping a low profile and has managed to amass incredible sums of wealth without anyone knowing exactly how. He speaks, things transpire, and most people have no desire to find out why—considering people start disappearing when Bek (or the Interstellar Cohort’s) matters are questioned.
Armitage Bek’s annoyingly infinite calm is only matched by his apparently infinite sphere of influence.
